The fourth annual Dominican Republic Golf Travel Exchange 2017 will feature as its main speaker the prominent American strategist, James J. Keegan, who has developed a unique process that’s improving the profitability, value and the return on investment in golf courses and will dictate the conference “Dominican Republic Golf: Imagine the possibilities: a quantitative vision to achieve international prominence.”

The event will be held from Sept.10 to 14 at the facilities of the hotel Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa, located in the Cap Cana resort.

Keegan is a noted writer who has published five books related to the golf industry worldwide, including his award-winning “Business of Golf: What are you thinking?,” which has served as benchmark on financial performance for the world’s most prestigious golf courses. In addition, the book “The business of golf: Why? How? What?,” a benchmark for golf professionals.

In 2016, Keegan was voted among the top 10 golf consultants by Golf, Inc. magazine and is currently a panelist for Golf Magazine’s Top 100 Golf Courses. He has participated in more than 250 courses and has served as a course evaluator and official rules for major golf tournaments including local and sectional qualification for the US Open and World Club Championship.

For his major contributions and knowledge, Keegan is widely read by golf enthusiasts, university students, and industry-wide staff looking to refresh their knowledge.

James J. Keegan is a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), a member of the Club Manager’s Association of America, the National Golf Foundation and the National Golf Course Owner’s Association.
