Teenagers wins the Cap Cana Golf Cup in its 9th edition

The Punta Espada Golf Course commemorated its 15th anniversary, with the holding of the traditional Cap Cana Golf Cup anniversary invitational tournament. This event is in benefit of the Forjando un Futuro Foundation.

Teenagers Justin Rodríguez and Kevin Rodríguez were winners of the cup, for the best overall gross score with 61 net clubs.

Two days of outdoor play, surrounded by the majestic nature of Cap Cana destination who received 200 national and international players.

The Cap Cana Golf Cup was held on this occasion dedicated to Mexican culture in gratitude to owners and commercial allies of the destination city, for which it had the special presence of Carlos Peñafiel, ambassador of Mexico in the Dominican Republic who carried out the service. of honor, as well as María Isabel Castillo, Dominican ambassador in Mexico.

The Spanish ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Antonio Pérez Hernández; the Mexican consul in the Dominican Republic, Rubén Flores and the Spanish consul in the Dominican Republic, Pablo Gómez de Olea.

Under the Scramble modality in pairs, the winners of Category A were James Hunt and Tom Miller in the first place; Antonio Olivo and Patrick Hafner in the second position; while Luis Matos and Luis Matos Junior in third place.

In category B, the first position was won by Fermín Acosta and Fermín Acosta Junior; Ángel González and Julio Barranco in second place; and Saulo Mota and Saúl Mota, in third place.

Category C was led by Miguel Russo and Miguel Angel Russo, first place winners; while Francesca Páez and Martina Villegas occupied the second position. The third place went to Miguel Rodríguez and Virgilio de Pool.

Accompanied by a sunny climate, the players enjoyed the excellent conditions of the Punta Espada golf course outdoors, making possible with their participation and donations the social and educational projects carried out by the Forjando un Futuro Foundation.
