Padel, yoga, breathwork, ice baths, running, beauty, emotional well-being, and activities for the whole family come together at Wellness for Padel. From September 3 to 6, Los Establos will host an event designed to take the experience far beyond the courts.
Conceived as an immersive wellness experience, the event combines the tournament with activities focused on movement, recovery, physical and mental well-being, beauty, and community.
The goal? To create a true wellness celebration around one of the fastest-growing sports in recent years.
If you are planning to attend, here is what you need to know before you go.
Padel brings it all together
Wellness for Padel was created to connect two worlds: a passion for padel and the wellness experiences associated with luxury hospitality across the Caribbean.
The concept also draws on the experience of one of Federico Acebal’s companies, which develops wellness offerings directly or through partners in several Caribbean destinations. The idea was to bring that expertise to the courts and connect it with his children’s passion for padel.
The sport was a natural fit. At a competitive level, padel requires preparation and strong physical conditioning. At the same time, less experienced players can enjoy it recreationally without the same physical demands.
That versatility makes it possible to bring together people of different ages and skill levels. It also creates an opportunity to highlight the physical and mental benefits of staying active.
Off the court
The program brings together many different approaches to wellness. Activities include yoga, breathwork, ice baths, running, Pilates, and core sculpt classes. Terrabike excursions, beauty and emotional well-being experiences, and a macramé workshop are also part of the lineup.
Families will have plenty to enjoy as well, including activities designed to experience together, such as family Zumba.
Los Establos Racquet Club provides a setting where all these experiences can unfold alongside the tournament, taking the event well beyond the courts.
Each guest can shape the day around their own interests. You can compete, come along with someone who is playing, or simply take part in the activities that appeal to you most.
Another goal is to bring together leading wellness companies, specialists, and experiences from across the eastern region of the Dominican Republic. Each will contribute its own area of expertise to Wellness for Padel.
This gives participants an opportunity to explore different disciplines and approaches to physical and emotional well-being.
The concept also reflects a broader shift in the way we experience sports. Increasingly, sports venues are becoming social spaces where exercise, wellness, and community come together.
Padel is a perfect example. What happens before and after a match has become an important part of the experience and of the community built around the courts.
Make the most of the experience
In addition to tournament matches, wellness activities will take place on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday’s program begins at 9:00 a.m. On Sunday, activities will run from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with options for the whole family.
You do not need to participate in the tournament to join the experience. Guests can choose the activities they want to attend and register for them in advance.
For some activities, bringing a change of clothes and a swimsuit is recommended, especially if you plan to take part in the ice baths. Other than that, no special preparation is required.
Activities can be selected and reserved through the Los Establos Padel Club website.
Wellness for Padel is an opportunity to come for the sport, explore much more, and experience wellness as a community.
