MARINA CAP CANA PRESENTS ITS ANNUAL FISHING REPORT 2017

Looking for hot fishing action? It’s hard to beat Cap Cana, in the Dominican Republic. Here are their season-long release numbers for 2017.

Boats from across the Caribbean fished from Marina Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic in 2017, tallying a total of 3,542 releases out of 5,667 battles in a season that lasted 304 days. There were 17 grand slams.

Billfish totals by species included 1,458 white marlin out of 2,304;  1,849 blue marlin out of 2,998; 231 sailfish out of 343 and 14 spearfish out of 22. Marina Cap Cana is also home to several international tournaments including the Cap Cana Classic, Dominican Republic Big Five and the Cap Cana Billfish Shootout.
