At a cocktail party held at the Volvo Showroom, entrepreneurs of the construction industry presented this year’s edition of the invitational event “ConstruWeekend II”, an event to be held during the weekend of September 2nd with the intention of uniting industry colleagues; it will be staged within the beautiful sceneries of the Punta Espada Golf Course and Marina Cap Cana, in the province of La Altagracia.

The keynote speech was addressed by Mr. Mario Betances, General Director of ConstruWeekend, who noted that the supply companies look forward to this event to please developers of the construction sector, explore new business alternatives and make spontaneous approaches that strengthen the client-company relationship.

Michael Espino, Technical Director, noted that the second edition of the ConstruWeekend golf tournament will have as venue the Punta Espada Golf Course, a signature design golf course of the legendary Jack Nicklaus, to be played under the Canadian Stableford Best All format, team of 4 players using a 75% handicap with awards to be handed to the first, second and third place of their net score.

This edition of ConstruWeekend will feature other activities such as a Fishing Tournament at Marina Cap Cana, Cooking Show and Family Fun Day at Little John Restaurant, Welcome cocktail at La Mona Restaurant and a closing party at the Los Establos Equestrian City, venue where engineer Rafael Bisono will be recognized for his contributions to the development of the construction sector, known as the father of affordable housing in the Dominican Republic.

This event, also, has the initiative as every year of supporting a good cause, with the help of sponsors and some guests with the donation of construction materials. This year these materials will be donated by the Association of Builders and Developers of the Altagracia Province (ADECLA) and will be used on the expansion of the Pequeñas Cometas Day Care Center, which is the main project of the Forjando Un Futuro Foundation, expansion which will enable to accommodate 50 children of the community.
