CAP CANA FOUNDATION: PRESERVATION OF SPECIES

Did you know the Cap Cana Foundation has programs for the preservation of species of flora and fauna? These programs highlight the protection of endemic and endangered species. Some of the actions to achieve this are: the custody of nests and training days for the gardening and security personnel for the preservation of the Hawksbill with the “The Peregrine Fund”. The ricordí iguanas can be found in Punta Espada Golf Course. They live with the persons that play the golf course. The ricordí iguanas, the jutias, the solenodons and the great variety of bird species are also persevered by Cap Cana. The protected flora species are the Cotoperrí, which can be appreciated in Scape Park and Palma Lluvia, a palm tree that will soon have a program to reproduce the specie.
