This weekend, the Cap Cana culinary scene adds a noteworthy experience worth having on your radar. The event “Identidad Dominicana” will bring together high-end cuisine, local ingredients and a curated dining experience.
Chef Saverio Stassi arrives at Eden Roc Cap Cana with this two-day concept. It offers a contemporary take on Dominican cuisine through technique, product, and intention.
Stassi, the mind behind Ajualä in Santo Domingo, a restaurant featured on the 50 Best Discovery platform. He will join Eden Roc’s executive chef, Adriano Venturini, in a collaboration focused on a more thoughtful culinary experience.

A two-night culinary journey
The event is designed as a gastronomic journey presented in two distinct formats:
- Fire, Smoke & Dominican Soul (Friday, March 27, 2026). A more relaxed experience centered around fire as the main technique, highlighting local ingredients and grill-based cooking.
- Flavors of the Island (Saturday, March 28, 2026). A fine dining experience featuring a six-course tasting menu, developed in a four-hands format alongside Eden Roc’s culinary team.
Dominican cuisine through a contemporary lens
“Identidad Dominicana” is built around a clear idea: to reinterpret local gastronomy from a more current perspective.
The use of Dominican ingredients, combined with high-end culinary techniques, reflects a growing movement in the country, one that prioritizes intention as much as execution.
Today, culinary experiences are not only about execution. They are also about intention.
There is something interesting happening in the way Dominican cuisine is being expressed. And experiences like this make it clear that this evolution is just beginning.
