Couples Van Sickler-Ann Ihrke and Batista-Cestero win honors at the “Scramble Open” golf tournament
The couples made up of Cori Van Sickler and Lee Ann Ihrke, in the female category (A), as well as Domingo Batista and Juan José Cestero (gentlemen), accumulated the best gross score, to win top honors during the “Scramble Open Punta Cana” golf tournament, an event hosted by the ladies of the LPGA Amateurs DR chapter.
The international competition took place over two fun and entertaining days of play, at the attractive and spectacular La Cana Golf Course, at Punta Cana Resort & Club, and Punta Espada Golf Course, in the destination of Cap Cana.
Dozens of national players and players from the United States gathered at the fair, and it had the novelty of being the first women’s tournament with a category for men. The winning ladies of the Best Gross Score of each Flight obtained a GPS watch.
The winning gentlemen of the best gross score were distinguished with a box of Royal cigars, from La Aurora; and all Best Net Score winners received a golf cart fan.
