QS LATIN AMERICA UNIVERSITY RANKINGS 2019 RANKS UNIBE AS TOP UNIVERSITY IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC AND #122 OF LATAM

BANCO POPULAR AND UNIBE LAUNCH AN ADVANCED BUSINESS MANAGEMENT PROGRAM FOR SMEs

With the aim of further expanding training among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Dominican Republic, Banco Popular Dominicano signed an agreement with the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) to impart a certification program of Advanced Business Management among its small and medium enterprise customers in the eastern region of the country, within its IMPULSA Business Strengthening program.

From July 7th and for the next months until November 3rd, IMPULSA and UNIBE are developing on the grounds that this university has in Cap Cana.

Advanced Business Management certification program contains a comprehensive approach to improve business management of SMEs, fostering among participants a 360-degree view of their business and providing knowledge, tools and key skills to understand effectively the environment and make decisions that will allow them to boost their business results.

Among other topics, participants will learn best practices on management skills and strategic management, administrative and financial accounting, business management and marketing, operations management, human talent management and financial management.

This alliance with UNIBE adds to other efforts IMPULSA develops four years to raise the level of professionalism in the Dominican SMEs through training agreements with the Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic (AIRD), the Association of industrialists of the North Region (AIREN) and Barna Business School.

In total, 4,123 companies SMEs have participated in these trainings, benefiting a set of 7,261 participants in seven cities nation-wide.

Along with this program, Banco Popular’s initiative for coaching SMEs is completed by the digital portal ImpulsaPopular.com, a pioneer site in useful tools and knowledge base for small and medium businesses, and IMPULSA People’s Forum, the most important annual event for this business segment, with exhibitions and  keynote speeches of national and international experts on trends worldwide.

In addition to training, IMPULSA offers SMEs entrepreneurs a broad portfolio of services and financial products designed specifically thinking about their interests and that, together with training, enabling them to boost their business to a higher level.
