After the reopening of tourism and sports marinas to a national level, the arrival of foreign vessels has experienced a significant increase during the month of August, thus activating sport fishing, especially of the Blue Marlin specie, and positively impacting the revitalization of the sector and the economy.

With well-established protocols that provide safety to sailors, Marina Cap Cana’s nautical operations have received vessels from the United States, generating a significant increase in catch-and-release fishing with a minimum average of 12 daily releases, achieving a registered record of 40 releases in a day led by the vessel Marlin Darlin, captained by Christopher Morgan Kaulen and fishermen Kyle Edward Sherman, Shay Jordan Danzig and José de Veer, with 18 blue marlins released.

Between the months of July and August, the country’s sports marinas have received dozens of boats, both for fishing the Blue Marlin season and for family recreation, according to a statement.

Positioned in the top 10 of the best destinations for sport fishing in Blue and White Marlin by The BillFish Report organization, attracting over the years a large community of national and international fishermen, the Cap Cana Marina has contributed to minimizing environmental impact and preserving marine species, such as the Blue Marlin, White Marlin and Sailfish.

As a hotel and residential tourist destination, it welcomes fishermen with their families who enjoy the benefits and attractions of Cap Cana and the Dominican Republic.
