Sagrada Familia Chapel: A Space for Faith and Community

More than a place to attend Mass, Sagrada Familia Chapel has become a gathering point for Cap Cana residents and visitors. Here, faith comes together with something essential for those who are part of life in the destination: a sense of community.

For many families, the chapel represents a space of peace, connection, and support. It also offers an opportunity to meet others, share meaningful moments, and build relationships around common values.

This sense of connection becomes especially important for those beginning a new chapter in Cap Cana. Finding spaces where they can become part of the community and feel supported is also part of making a place feel like home.

An active community throughout the year

Life at Sagrada Familia Chapel goes beyond the celebration of the Eucharist. Mass is celebrated every Sunday at 1:00 p.m. In addition, a Celebration of the Word takes place on the first Friday of each month.

Throughout the year, the chapel also hosts a variety of pastoral and community activities. These include prayer groups, the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, pre-baptismal courses, Eucharistic Adoration, the Rosary of the Dawn, and retreats.

These initiatives give residents and visitors different ways to participate and strengthen their faith.

During special seasons of the Catholic liturgical calendar, such as Lent and Advent, additional activities are offered. The schedule is announced in advance during Mass and through the community’s WhatsApp group.

Growing in faith as a family

Children’s faith formation is another important part of community life. Catechism programs are held at Cap Cana Heritage School (CCHS), making participation more convenient for children and their families.

The faithful may also receive sacraments such as Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, and Matrimony. For information about requirements and registration, families should contact the Nuestra Señora del Pilar parish office.

The community also welcomes those who would like to become more actively involved. Young people, adults, singles, and married couples can join the different apostolic groups or serve at the altar.

Celebrating marriage at Sagrada Familia Chapel

Cap Cana is also a setting for weddings and special celebrations. Couples who wish to marry at Sagrada Familia Chapel should begin the process directly with the parish office.

There, they can receive information about the documents, requirements, and steps needed to celebrate the sacrament. The church also offers marriage preparation and guidance.

In this way, couples who choose Cap Cana for such a meaningful occasion can make the religious ceremony part of this special moment.

Creating a sense of belonging

For those moving to a new place, building connections can be just as important as finding a home, a school, or spaces to spend time together as a family.

Sagrada Familia Chapel contributes to that experience through faith, but also through the human connections built around it. It is an opportunity to meet people, share meaningful moments, and find support that can be especially valuable when beginning a new chapter.

That sense of belonging is an important part of its purpose. The chapel welcomes both those who regularly participate in the life of the Church and those looking to reconnect with their faith.

People can come with their joys, doubts, or concerns and find peace, support, and closeness. At the same time, they can become part of a welcoming network that helps residents and visitors feel connected to life in Cap Cana.
