Starting December 22nd and through March 2016, travelers to Eden Roc at Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic can admire the stunning work of talented Latin American artists in partnership with world-renowned La Cometa Gallery in Bogotá. Located in the lobby of the resort’s recently unveiled Eden Roc Beach Club is the work of masters and emerging talent alike, including pieces by Hugo Zapata, Pablo Tamayo, Yosman Botero and Nadir Figueroa. A variety of mediums will stimulate the senses, from stone sculpture and glass work, to paint on aluminum and 3-D optical illusions. The owners of Eden Roc at Cap Cana have a deep appreciation for art and artists such as Cameron Gray, Damien Hirst, Romero Britto and Edgar Negret can also be spotted throughout the resort. The exhibition will be available for Eden Roc guests and Cap Cana residents to enjoy.
La Cometa Gallery, is a Colombian space dedicated to art in constant renewal, a plural scene for a variety of art proposals and audiences.
During its 30 years of experience, La Cometa Gallery has participated in dozens of international art fairs, bringing great exhibitions by Latin American art masters and novice talents alike, becoming both a major business center around the art and an open space for cultural dialogues.
La Cometa Gallery is pleased to bring part of this art project to the Dominican Republic to present the most significant of what happens in the vast panorama of Latin American modern and contemporary art.
