Arriving by Sea

Sail into an inland marina with services for your vessel and access to Cap Cana’s dining, beaches, and experiences.

Sheltered by Design

Marina Cap Cana extends inland, offering greater shelter from waves. Operations remain subject to weather conditions and applicable safety protocols.

It features 172 berths, 24-hour security, and services for owners, captains, and crews. International arrival and departure procedures can also be coordinated on-site with the relevant authorities.

Reserve Your Berth

Contact the customer service team to check availability and confirm entry requirements. To request a reservation, provide the following information:

  • Vessel name and flag.
  • Length overall, beam, and draft.
  • Port of departure.
  • Estimated arrival and departure dates.
  • Contact details for the captain, owner, or representative.

International arrivals also require passenger and crew information and documentation. Advance reservations are recommended, especially during sportfishing seasons and international tournaments.

Vessels and Entry Conditions

The marina welcomes private yachts, sportfishing boats, sailboats, and catamarans. Requests for vessels up to 250 feet in length may be considered, subject to availability, dimensions, and maneuvering requirements.

The navigation channel has a depth of 8.5 feet. Before traveling, confirm the operating draft limit that applies to your vessel with the team. Each request is assessed individually to determine entry conditions and a suitable berth.

Arrival Documents and Procedures

International arrivals generally require the vessel’s registration, valid passports, a passenger and crew list, and clearance from the previous port, as applicable.

The marina team guides captains and coordinates procedures with Customs, Immigration, the Dominican Republic Navy, the National Drug Control Directorate, and Agriculture, depending on the type of operation. For travel between domestic ports, clearance is handled by the Navy.

Any firearms on board must be declared before arrival so the authorities can follow the required procedures.

  • Diesel and gasoline.
  • Shore power connections from 50 to 200 amps and 120 to 480 volts.

Children must remain under adult supervision on docks, walkways, and near the water. They should also wear properly fitted life jackets when appropriate.

If traveling with pets, notify the team when making your reservation. They will advise you on the permits, health certificates, and veterinary documents required to coordinate procedures with the authorities.

During your stay, pets must remain under their owners’ control and comply with the marina’s rules.

Before Your Approach

Confirm berth availability, the approved dimensions for your vessel, and the authorities’ operating hours. Also request instructions for approaching and communicating with the marina.

Check weather forecasts, sea conditions, and navigational notices. Stay in contact with the team and follow their instructions to coordinate your arrival.
