St. Regis Cap Cana joins Condé Nast Traveler Hot List as one of the best new hotels in the world

St. Regis Cap Cana has been included in the Hot List by Condé Nast Traveler. This annual selection highlights the most relevant new openings in global hospitality.

More than a list, it works as a curated filter. It defines which hotels truly enter the international conversation.

This year’s edition features properties in destinations such as Copenhagen, Milan, Paris, the Maldives, Bangkok and Saudi Arabia. Within that context, the presence of St. Regis Cap Cana positions Cap Cana within a circuit that no longer fits the “emerging” category, but one that competes at the same level.

Positioned across two key global categories

The property is included in both Best New Hotels in the World and Best New Beach Resorts, reinforcing its relevance across two key categories in the luxury space.

According to the publication, the resort combines the classic codes of the St. Regis brand –butler service, Champagne, highly personalized attention– with a more grounded interpretation of the local environment.

That is precisely where its distinction is built.

Set across 16 acres of beachfront, the resort delivers an experience that integrates architecture, design and Dominican culture. Tropical vegetation, patterned brickwork, curved ceilings with natural fiber finishes and a curated selection of works by local artists create a space that feels closer to a gallery than a conventional hotel.

An experience designed to flow

This same approach extends to the overall experience. Spaces such as Cassava, the Amber Room and access to the Punta Espada golf course are not presented as isolated amenities, but as part of a journey that flows naturally throughout the day.

The result is a proposal that goes beyond offering luxury. It presents an edited version of the destination.

A stronger position on the global stage

Beyond the property itself, its inclusion in the Hot List allows for a broader reading. Cap Cana has long been associated with exclusivity and scale. What this recognition confirms is a shift in how the destination is perceived—not only as a place to disconnect, but as one that is now on the radar of global tastemakers.

A destination that is beginning to be considered within the conversations that define the future of luxury travel.

Within that context, St. Regis is not just part of that evolution. It is one of its key pieces.
