When a group of friends decided to meet every week to play padel, they never imagined they were about to create one of Cap Cana’s most active communities.
Today, La Chercha Pádel brings together more than 60 people from different nationalities and professional backgrounds. Everyone arrived because of the sport. However, most found something even more valuable: friendships, shared experiences and a sense of belonging that keeps them coming back every Thursday.
That is what makes this initiative unique. More than a weekly tournament, La Chercha Pádel has become a tradition that found the perfect home at Los Establos Pádel Club, where the community continues to grow.
The beginning
The story began in late 2024. A group of friends finished a padel match around 8:00 p.m. Four hours later, they were still sitting together, talking, laughing and sharing stories.
That evening, they realized something simple. The match had ended, but the best part of the night had only just begun.
Inspired by that experience, they decided to meet regularly to play. What started with five or six friends naturally evolved into Los Viejevos Pádel Society, a community that now welcomes residents and visitors from different generations and nationalities.
Over time, they discovered that padel was never the real focus. The sport simply gave people a reason to meet. What made every Thursday special happened before stepping onto the court and long after the final rally.
That is how La Chercha Pádel was born, creating a weekly gathering where competition and connection matter equally.
More than a match
Every Thursday, the courts welcome entrepreneurs, business owners, executives, professionals, residents and visitors who all share one thing: the desire to play.
Once the first match begins, job titles quickly disappear. On the court, everyone is simply another player.
That atmosphere has shaped the way the community has grown. Most new members join through invitations from existing players and first attend a few sessions to experience the group’s dynamic.
The goal has never been to bring together the strongest players. Instead, the priority is preserving the atmosphere of trust, respect and camaraderie that has defined La Chercha Pádel since the beginning.
More than the level of play, it is the weekly experience that keeps people coming back.
The meeting point
From the very beginning, Los Establos Padel Club embraced the initiative and became a key partner in its growth.
Its six indoor and outdoor courts provide the ideal setting for a community that continues to expand. More importantly, the atmosphere encourages people to stay long after the last match ends.
That is why the evening often continues at Harvest, the club’s restaurant.
Around the table, new friendships begin, experiences are shared and future projects often take shape. It is no coincidence that, in early 2026, Los Viejevos Pádel Society officially made Los Establos its home.
Off the Court
Every Thursday, the same scene unfolds. People who had never met before end up talking as if they had known each other for years.
Over time, those conversations become friendships. New connections are formed and a strong network grows around shared interests.
That is one of the qualities that best reflects the Cap Cana lifestyle. Beyond its sports facilities, the Destination City offers an environment where people naturally connect, build relationships and create meaningful experiences together.
Initiatives like La Chercha Pádel show that sport can also strengthen community life while enriching the experience of living in Cap Cana.

What’s next
Although the community continues to grow, its essence remains exactly the same as it was on that first evening in 2024.
The members of Los Viejevos Pádel Society hope people arrive because of padel but stay because of the relationships built around the game. They also hope the initiative inspires new community-driven experiences centered on sport, culture and wellness.
