THEMAG celebrated the sixth stop of its traditional “Tour Experience Punta Cana” and Ancora was the protagonist of the event. This event brought together personalities, businessmen, hotel executives, lovers of good wine and premium gastronomy last Friday, October 18, at Ancora located in the Cap Cana Marina.
In addition to the general directors of TheMag and Online, Betina Rey and Marcelo Ballester, the highest executives of the Ancora Hotel represented by Ms. Martha Richarson, general director, William Barrini, executive chef and Raúl Méndez, food & beverage manager who thanked the organizers for taking into account this resort located in Cap Cana, to carry out this exclusive event that highlights the local cuisine and superior service offered by the different hotels and restaurants in the country.
More than 80 exclusive, international wine brands that are not marketed in the Dominican Republic were presented. These brands were from producing regions such as France, Spain, Italy, Uruguay and Australia. The wine tastings were advised by the prominent Sommelier Cristian Reyes, President of the Dominican Association of Sommeliers, who guided the attendees through the tour of the different wine regions. Special guests could also taste a sample of the exquisite culinary offer that Ancora’s gourmet restaurants have. These were presented by its prominent chef William Barrini and his team.
The exclusive cigars of the Porvenir brand were presented by the Dominican Cigars Magazine. Carola Olé and her group Pasión Flamenca, gave a spectacular flamenco performance. The event was conducted by the renowned instagramer and local artist, Erika Lane.
