What to Do After School? Extracurricular Activities for Kids in Cap Cana

Golf, swimming, soccer, volleyball, taekwondo, art, music, and even technology. A new school year is also an opportunity to explore interests beyond the classroom. And in Cap Cana, there is plenty to try.

Going back to school also means getting back into the rhythm of busy afternoons. Between homework, schedules, and daily routines, one question often comes up for families with children: Which extracurricular activity should we choose this year?

The good news is that it does not all have to revolve around a single sport. Some kids want to stay active, while others would rather create. Some could happily spend the entire afternoon exploring music, technology, or new experiences.

That variety came together at the Afterschool Open House, held at Green Village Plaza.

For those who want to get moving

For kids drawn to sports, there is plenty to choose from. Cana Volleyball Academy and Cap Football Academy offer volleyball and soccer. Meanwhile, PCFA Taekwondo brings martial arts into the mix.

There is also swimming with Belote Swimming and golf with Punta Espada Golf Club and Las Iguanas Golf Course. Co.Co. Pilates Club offers another way to stay active. Forest Camp, meanwhile, focuses on experiences that combine movement with outdoor activities.

For those who prefer to create

Not every afternoon has to be spent on a court or field. Gato de París Espacio de Arte opens the door to creativity. At the same time, Academia de Música y Artes Punta Cana offers opportunities to explore music and other artistic disciplines.

For the curious

Technology can also become an after-school pursuit. Techkids: Academia de Tecnología gives children the opportunity to explore the world of technology from an early age. In addition, they can develop new skills beyond the classroom.

Escape Room brings a different kind of challenge. Its puzzles and mysteries put logic, creativity, and problem-solving skills to the test.

For those looking for a different kind of outdoor experience, Marina Cap Cana presented activities related to fishing.

During the open house, families had the chance to learn more about these programs. They could also speak directly with their representatives and take part in demonstrations, classes, and activities.

Ultimately, choosing an extracurricular activity can be an opportunity to discover what truly sparks a child’s curiosity. And perhaps this school year is the perfect time to try something new.
