Ancora announces Movie at The Marina. This event will be held on Saturday, February 29 at 7:00 pm in the Amphitheater of Ancora with views of the Cap Cana Marina. The screened documentary will be Sol Caribe and it will serve to give continuity to Ancora’s exhibition and dissemination of Dominican cinema in the Cap Cana destination.
The dominican musical, Sol Caribe, is directed by the filmmaker Felix Limardo and the produced by Víctor Dumé. Four rhythms of the Dominican Republic are combined in the movie: merengue, typical merengue, son and bachata. Sol Caribe has the participation of figures of Dominican music, such as Jose Manuel Calderón, Wilfrido Varas, Milly Quezada, Fefita La Grande, Johnny Ventura, Cuco Valoy, among others. This documentary has been presented at the National Theater, as well as several other countries.
In addition, the award-winning short of the first film promotion of Unibe will be screened: Larimar – A Semi Precious Story of the students Carlos de León and Luis Cerón.
To close the night with a flourish, merengue man, Kinito Méndez will perform live with his orchestra and a carnival troupe.
This activity is open to guests of Ancora Punta Cana and hotels within the Cap Cana Destination, as well as to residents, owners and the general public.
