The big news of the week was the celebration of the eighth edition of the BM Cargo Tournament. Considered by golfers as an unprecedented event, this edition returned to the golf events ring in style, in a weekend to remember that included fun, golf, dancing, parties, great atmosphere, and of course, new winners of the event that each year sets guidelines in terms of organization and assembly. The tournament was played in Shamble format with 80% handicap, at the Punta Espada Golf Course in Cap Cana.
Juan Carlos Pichardo and Edgar Alma imposed their quality in the first round placing 65 gross at the top of the board, to be the absolute champions. The pair have become a truly winning machine, scoring gross scores that have led them to triumph in more than one event in recent months. On his side, Ruddy Daly and Alejandro Balbuena (62) were winners of the best overall net. Both couples win a trip to North Carolina with all expenses paid (flight, hotel, rental car and three rounds of golf).
Ramsés Atallah, president of the company, can feel totally satisfied with what they achieved with the staging of one of the most emblematic tournaments held in the country, which was also beneficial, achieving a record collection of RD $ 2,010,498, destined to the JOMPEAME Foundation, which does a fantastic job for those most in need.
Without a doubt, the event fulfilled all expectations and became something memorable for sponsors, players, guests,
and for the great team that worked for months to set up a tournament full of music, since the participation of Alex Bueno, Illegals, Wilfrido Vargas and Fernandito Villalona, makes anyone think that, more than a golf event, we were in a great music festival.
