The Fleet, which has only consisted of three to five (3-5) boats a day released 165 Billfish over the past week. The vast majority (90%) of these have been Blue Marlin, but there has also been good variety with three (3) Grand Slams. <em><strong>Blue Bird<\/strong><\/em> released one Grand Slam and <em><strong>Vitamin Sea<\/strong><\/em> with two Grand Slams.<\/p>\n<p>While the \u201cseason\u201d here is truly year round, the traditional peak season has normally passed by now. Don\u2019t tell the Blue Marlin. We had four (4) boats release <strong>double digit<\/strong> Blue Marlin in a day this past week, with <em><strong>Blue Bird<\/strong> <\/em>setting and then beating their own Marina record releasing sixteen (16) Blue Marlin followed by eighteen (18) the very next day. That put them only two Blue Marlin shy of the <strong>Atlantic Record<\/strong> of twenty (20) set by the <em>Hooker<\/em> in 1997 in the Cape Verdes.<\/p>\n<p>The bite has been good for well over a month now. If you are looking to experienced one of the best Blue Marlin fisheries (not to mention a spectacular setting and Marina) the time is now.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>** After we wrote this, Blue Bird released 23 Blue Marlin to set the new Atlantic Release Record.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>RECENT REPORTS<\/p>\n<p><em>Vitamin Sea<\/em> went 6-18 on Blue Marlin.<\/p>\n<p><em>Dhara<\/em> went 7-17 on Blue Marlin and 3-3 on White Marlin.<\/p>\n<p><em>Blue Bird<\/em> beat their own record, set just yesterday, going 18-25 on Blue Marlin.<\/p>\n<p><em>Vitamin Sea<\/em> went 8-9 on Blue Marlin.<\/p>\n<p><em>Keep Fishing<\/em> went 7-13 on Blue Marlin.<\/p>\n<p><em>Blue Bird<\/em> 16-24 on Blue Marlin, 1-1 on White Marlin and 1-2 on Sailfish.<\/p>\n<p><em>Dhara<\/em> went 12-18 on Blue Marlin and 3-6 on Sailfish.<\/p>\n<p><em>Vitamin Sea<\/em> went 10-15 on Blue Marlin and 1-1 on White Marlin.<\/p>\n<p><em>Dhara<\/em> went 12-18 on Blue Marlin and 3-6 on Sailfish.<\/p>\n<p><em>Vitamin Sea<\/em>\u00a0released a Grand Slam going 5-7 on Blue Marlin, 1-1 on White Marlin and 1-1 on Spearfish.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Boats fishing out of Marina Cap Cana have had some of the best fishing this fishery has ever seen over the last week.
