{"id":12226,"date":"2021-10-26T10:11:14","date_gmt":"2021-10-26T14:11:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.capcana.com\/?p=12226"},"modified":"2026-02-18T11:32:54","modified_gmt":"2026-02-18T15:32:54","slug":"tourism-real-estate-companies-ask-to-maintain-incentives-from-the-state-to-the-sector","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/capcana.com\/es\/tourism-real-estate-companies-ask-to-maintain-incentives-from-the-state-to-the-sector\/","title":{"rendered":"Tourism real estate companies ask to maintain incentives from the State to the sector"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.diariolibre.com\/economia\/empresas-turisticas-inmobiliarias-piden-mantener-incentivos-del-estado-al-sector-PK29545093\">Diario Libre<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Dominican Association of Real Estate Tourism Companies (Adeti) joined the call made recently by the Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic (Asonahores) to maintain the set of public policies to promote tourism development in the country, under Law 158-01 and its successive modifications, which have provided the tourism industry with its main tool to achieve greater competitiveness as a leading tourist destination in the Caribbean region.<\/p>\n<p>They indicated that this has resulted, among other things, in the development of the real estate tourism sector, which in recent decades has generated investments of more than nine billion dollars, the creation of thousands of direct jobs, and a high increase in the supply of accommodation for travelers visiting the country, positioning itself in the midst of the pandemic as the essential complement to traditional hotel tourism.<\/p>\n<p>In a press release, they highlighted that \u201cthe increase in the level of investment should not slow down compared to the main competitors in the region, and an example of this is that since 2013 (last modification to Law 158-01 through Law 195 -13), five countries in the region -Honduras (2017), Mexico (2019), Puerto Rico (2019), Panama (Master Plan 2020-2025) and Nicaragua (2020) &#8211; adapted their legislation on tourism to incorporate their legal system State policies on tax matters that have contributed to making them more competitive destinations, without forgetting other countries with previous legislation such as Costa Rica, El Salvador, Jamaica, and Colombia \u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Faced with any scenario of discussion of a possible modification of the regulatory framework that directly affects the competitiveness of the real estate tourism sector, the Dominican Association of Real Estate Tourism Companies expressed its concern about the possible deviation of the investment flow for new real estate tourism projects and, consequently, \u201cthe loss of thousands of direct and indirect jobs for the sector. He invited the public powers to analyze different alternatives to improve the State&#8217;s income through consensus &#8220;and without putting its regional leadership at risk.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1 class=\"pb-4\"><span class=\"priority-content\">Empresas tur\u00edsticas inmobiliarias piden mantener incentivos del Estado al sector<\/span><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>La Asociaci\u00f3n <a href=\"https:\/\/capcana.com\/es\/\">Dominicana de Empresas<\/a> Tur\u00edsticas Inmobiliarias (Adeti) se sum\u00f3 al llamado realizado recientemente por la Asociaci\u00f3n de Hoteles y Turismo de la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana (Asonahores) para mantener el conjunto de pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas de fomento al desarrollo tur\u00edstico del pa\u00eds, al amparo de la Ley 158-01 y sus sucesivas modificaciones, que han dotado a la industria tur\u00edstica de su principal herramienta para lograr una mayor competitividad como destino tur\u00edstico l\u00edder de la regi\u00f3n del Caribe.<\/p>\n<p>Indicaron que esto ha tenido como resultado, entre otras cosas, el desarrollo del sector tur\u00edstico inmobiliario que en las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas ha generado inversiones por m\u00e1s de nueve mil millones de d\u00f3lares, la creaci\u00f3n de miles de empleos directos y un alto incremento de la oferta de alojamiento para los viajeros que visitan el pa\u00eds, logrando posicionarse en medio de la pandemia como el complemento esencial para el tradicional turismo hotelero.<\/p>\n<p>En una nota de prensa destacaron que \u201cno se debe desacelerar el incremento del nivel de inversi\u00f3n frente a los principales competidores de la regi\u00f3n, y ejemplo de ello es que desde el a\u00f1o 2013 (\u00faltima modificaci\u00f3n a la Ley 158-01 mediante la Ley 195-13), cinco pa\u00edses de la regi\u00f3n -Honduras (2017), M\u00e9xico (2019), Puerto Rico (2019), Panam\u00e1 (Plan Maestro 2020-2025) y Nicaragua (2020)- adaptaron su legislaci\u00f3n en materia tur\u00edstica para incorporar a su ordenamiento jur\u00eddico pol\u00edticas de Estado en materia tributaria que han contribuido a que sean destinos m\u00e1s competitivos, sin obviar otros pa\u00edses con legislaciones anteriores como Costa Rica, El Salvador, Jamaica y Colombia\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Ante cualquier escenario de discusi\u00f3n de una posible modificaci\u00f3n del marco normativo que incida de manera directa en la competitividad del sector tur\u00edstico inmobiliario, la Asociaci\u00f3n Dominicana de Empresas <a href=\"https:\/\/capcana.com\/es\/\">Tur\u00edsticas<\/a> Inmobiliarias expres\u00f3 su preocupaci\u00f3n por el posible desv\u00edo del flujo de inversi\u00f3n para nuevos proyectos tur\u00edsticos inmobiliarios y, por v\u00eda de consecuencia, \u201cla p\u00e9rdida de miles de empleos directos e indirectos para el sector.
